Hostess Gifts Under $50!

Hello Lovelies,

Well… it’s finally here!! The countdown to christmas!! But first, for my American readers, it is the countdown to thanksgiving! As the holiday season arrives in full force, visits to the houses of friends and family become increasingly more frequent. Now, I don’t know if its the Southern girl in me or the English one, but I couldn’t dream of heading to someones house without a little token to say “thank you for your hospitality”. I’ve rounded up a collection of my favorite hostess gifts that are under 50 dollars – so that both you and your wallet can enjoy the season of giving.

First stop: Nordstrom (because who doesn’t love the little grey shopping bags!!)

Currently: OBSESSING over this wood and marble cake stand! I think it is perfect for both the chic and the rustic host on your list! The neutral tones go perfectly with any decor… and I’m a sucker for a slab of marble. I also love that it is so easy to wipe clean and how perfect would a big christmas cake look on top of it?! You can find it at Nordstrom for $45.99.

Wow you guys, I just love these! Look at the gorgeous packaging! The set comes with three soy wax candles that each burn for 20 hours! You could tie this up with a beautiful gold wrapping paper and a giant black bow and it would look like a million bucks! The candles themselves are perfect to dot around your house year round.. but even more so in the run up to the holidays (they also come in brown and silver)! You can find them at Nordstrom for $34.99.

So, I completely adore gifts that weren’t too expensive but look a lot more! This is one of those gifts: The Oliera Bottle Set. It comes with three vintage glass bottle to serve and store your favorite oil, vinegar, and infused blends! I love the whole look of the wooden tray, and the metal pouring spouts! Forget hostess gifts.. I may have to snag this one for my own little kitchen! You can find it in Nordstrom for $45.00!

This is my last little steal from Nordstrom! I find a great deal of comfort in knowing that I have a collection of little serving trays to pull out if ever company stops by, and I’m sure your host will too! This is so rustic and its elevated sides are perfect to keep little hands away from hot coffee and treats! This would even look perfect on an ottoman with some coffee table books and a candle stacked inside! The best part?? It’s only $45.99 at Nordstrom!

Moving on.. let’s go to Pottery Barn! Did you guys know they put up their christmas decorations this weekend?!? Ah. That shop is my go to for a little holiday spirit and some decor inspiration!

Have I mentioned that I love a gift that looks like way more than it costs?! 😉 These Bohemian Bottle Stoppers come with BOTH of the stoppers you see in this picture! The touch of the monogram makes it so personalized and will really make your host feel special! These are so much easier on the eye than a cork sticking half way out of the bottle and are a must-have in my books! They’re usually $39.00 but are on special right now for $31.00 at Pottery Barn!!! If I were you, I’d run there… I’m already on my way!!

      2. screen-shot-2016-11-01-at-9-11-50-am I really love these coasters! The leather is so different from what you normally see for coasters and again, the monogram adds an additional personal touch! I think that these are perfect for couples… usually the hostess gift seems to be really geared towards the female (unless its alcohol), but these really seem to say “thank you” to both parties in the household! Not to mention the fact that they’re on SALE right now from $29.50 to $23.50. What a steal from Pottery Barn!

Like I said… I LOVE marble! I love these black cheese boards because the raw edge makes them kind of look like slate! They also come in white, and get this… the smallest one here is $29.50 and the largest is $49.50! Such a bargain for any one of your hosts!! Find it at Pottery Barn 🙂

The last stop on my hostess gift adventure is none other than crate and barrel! I don’t have one near me, which is probably for the best since I love everything in that store!! Anyway, I have to live vicariously through their online store…everything is so cool.

How ecstatic would you be if you were hosting a dinner and someone showed up with a fondue set and chocolate for melting! Is that just me?! This is such a fun, and thoughtful, and practical gift to give someone! The best part is that they could use it year-round and it is only $39.95 at Crate and Barrel!!!

2.screen-shot-2016-11-01-at-11-29-21-amOkay guys, picture this… You buy this from crate and barrel, you buy an adorable old-fashioned jar of popcorn kernels and perhaps a few cardboard popcorn boxes (from the dollar tree, holla)… stick them inside the popcorn maker, tie it with plastic and stick a big bow on top… presto! A gorgeous gift basket to say thank you to your host! Not only is it a really thoughtful gift, but the presentation is lovely! I really like this idea and I have actually already ordered one for someone special on my list! 🙂 This is only $29.95 which leaves plenty of room in the budget to make it into a chic gift basket!! Head on over to Crate and Barrel to get one for yourself 🙂

I have been searching high and low for a wooden board game set to give to one special host on my list! This is so classic and would look amazing set up in anyones home, or even sitting on a shelf! I think you can get similar wooden games (like monopoly and trivial pursuit at Barnes and Noble), but if you’re looking for a classic game this is your gift!! I love it! Its three games in one, Chess, Checkers and Backgammon! This is usually $59.95, but you can snag it right now for $39.97 at Crate and Barrel!!

Well, there you have it! My hostess gift list for under $50!

I hope you enjoyed it… I just love this time of year!!

xx,

Abigail
